Ford Figo – Ford India’s Small Car Launch 2009

Ford India unveiled much expected small car, Ford Figo on Wednesday here in new delhi. United States automobile giant Ford Motor Company today revealed its 1st small car for the India customers, known as Ford Figo.

Ford Figo, which is informally stands in Italian for “chill”, will be crafted at the Ford India’s Chennai unit & will be available in markets by 2010.

The Chennai facility is feeling a USD 500 million improvement as Ford looks to build India a worldwide production center for its little cars.[smartads]

“Ford Figo is intended to fight in India’s small car section, which is around 70% of the marketplace,” said Ford’s worldwide president & CEO Alan Mulally, who revealed the car at a gathering in New Delhi.

“Our thrilling fresh Ford Figo demonstrates how attentive we are concerning India,” Mulally believed. “It imitates our promise to race with huge products in all sections of this small car market. We are sure the Ford Figo will be a creation that Indian customers actually want & value.”

Ford Figo influences Ford’s small car stage structural design, sharing fundamental skill along with the Ford Fiesta.
