Rajkumar Santoshi, famous for his intense movies except for Andaz Apna Apna, which was a comedy movie, after so many years he has made a comedy i.e, AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI, a new effort to make his audience smile. This movie is romantic& comedy as well. On screen chemistry between Katrina& Ranbir is the main element as it is attracting young people to the theatres to watch out the young actors. [smartads]

The movie is humourous& absurd too. The promos& trailers also showed that it is more like a comic movie rather than a comedy movie, its poster is made like this, with the yellow blue colour, which gives effect of a comic magazine. The movie is fullto entertainment, as if laughing gas has been released in the cinema halls, the audience was laughing with full applaud.Young pairs can come& enjoy their date as this is mainly for the people with youthfulness. Prem (Ranbir) fundas for life is laugh& let laugh, as he wants to make every one happy, his motto might be inspired by live& let live. Prem is having the case of a mistaken identity& he almost kidnapped Jenny(Katrina Kaif). Her foster parents raised her, giving her uncaring& indifferent environment.

There is not only a love angle in this movie but a love triangle exists too, as Prem loves Jenny but he got to know that she loves some other guy i.e. Upen Patel, he is doing role of the son of a shrewd politician (Govind Namdeo). Prem decided to sacrifice his love& get them married. Salman Khan is giving a cameo in this movie. There is also a love& hate relationship between Ranbir& his father (Darshan Jariwala). There are some sequences which gives a ridiculous& humours effect: like when Katrnia slaps Ranbir, as she feels he is stammering to copy her& 1 more incident of a party, where Ranbir literally falls on the ground. So the 1st hour of the flick rocks! But 2nd hour might make a viewer complaining. Villian’s role is played by actor Zakir Hussain, not Ustad Zakir Hussain.

It seems like that 2nd hour is cut short as the continuity appears to be broken because of the lack of sequence timing, chopping of number of scenes. For example, Katrina got kidnapped by the villains looks  too much hasty. When& how did that happened? Ranbir is now appearing to be a promising actor as he was hypnotic, that without even making faces, he tickles the audiences. It is really a wonderful performance given by him. Katrina also surprises, as she had started acting so well. Katrina makes an awesome pair with Ranbir.

Darshan Jariwala is outstanding. Smita Jaykar is also in the movie, like always she did good work in the movie. Upen Patel looks decent. Govind Namdeo is again typecasted with the roles he play. Zakir Hussain did fair. Navneet Nishan is also present& she is ok alright.
So the movie entertains a lot. Before its release there was really a fantastic promotional activities have been done, as Ranbir& Katrina were seen in Lux Perfect Bride, they stayed there with the participants& got so much involved in the activities like Katrina made jalebis too. This kinda activities appeals so much to our janta that they gets attracted to the bait put by promoters, as filmmakers makes sure that promotional activities yield some benefit to lure audiences to cinema& their movies hit the jackpot in the box-office& give them profit.

Watch out the flick, really a fantastic movie to revive the monotonous mood.
