14 Nov: Delhi Police’s advice for visitors of IITF (Trade Fair) is “Use Delhi Metro”. Even India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) had told that last year somewhat 75% visitors used the Metro Rail, now it is expected that Noida Metro will further improves the state of traffic jams& congestion on the roads which leads to Pragati Maidan.
Joint CP (traffic) S N Srivastava told that if all visitors will use public transportation especially Delhi Metro Rail then the state of traffic flow would remain normal just like other days. Even though there is hike in Metro& Bus fares, people will still prefer public transport, as it saves time.
He added that halting& parking at Bhagwan Dass Road, Mathura Road, Sher Shah Road, Bhairon Marg, Purana Quila, Ring Road, `C’ Hexagon& Tilak Marg will not be allowed during the Trade Fair and who disobey the rule would face trial. Taking right turn from Mathura Road to Bhagwan Dass Road& Purana Quila Road will not be allowed& U-turn will be unavailable Mathura Road traffic, though traffic which will reach Mathura road will be allowed to take the right turn. Parking can be done by visitors at parking space which is near Bhairo Road& Delhi zoo.
General public must visit the fair between Nov 19 – Nov 27. Visitors’ timings are 9:30AM – 7:30PM. On weekdays, the entry is allowed till 6PM& the entry on weekends would be till 4PM. Only 1lakh visitors would be allowed to enter daily.
