Holmes Leads Texas A & M to Down Clemson

On Thu, in the 1st round of the 76 Classic, B.J. Holmes made 20 points score; he leads Texas A&M after upsetting Clemson (rank 19th) by 69-60.

David Loubeau further added 12 points & 9 rebounds. On Friday, Bryan Davis had scored 10 points for Aggies (4-0), who will now face No. 8th rank West Virginia in a semifinal game.

For Clemson, Trevor Booker scored 12 points from his 18 points in the 2nd half (4-1).

Texas A&M lead by as many as seventeen early in the 2 half previous to Clemson reached at 58-56 when Tanner Smith gave 2 free throws with 5:14 left behind. Smith finished with 14 points.

The Aggies got some breathing space (Clemson could not recover at all) when Holmes gave a free throw & 3-pointer too.

There was tie at 18, Khris Middleton & Holmes gave 3-pointers for the duration when Aggies 15-2 run which includes 3 layups from Donald Sloan to take 33-20 halftime lead. Clemson has scpored 20 points in the 1st half were the least the Tigers have scored out since they got 17 against Florida State on February 19, 2008.

Texas A M extends its advantage to 44-29 score before Clemson used up 13-4 run to come back into the match. The Tigers were exhausted by pitiable shooting (33.9 %) & eighteen turnovers.
