Living life fully king-size can only be done by listening to one’s heart & pursuing dreams. This all is 3 IDIOTS essence. The movie is directed by talented by Rajkumar Hirani. There are so many movies out there but 3 IDIOTS would really be remarkable as enormous expectations are from the movie. There are many reasons behind this, lets check out:

Let’s unveil the myths about 3 IDIOTS:
3 IDIOTS isn’t an idiots’ movie. Its actually 3 engineering students story whose belief in life is “We can Do It on Our Terms” & that’s what trio did & even Aamir, Hirani & Vidhu did too, as they made their movie, which is made on their own terms.
1 more take, we mustn’t compare the movie with other films, be it from past / present, successful / unsuccessful. Viewers might even compare the movie’s value with Aamir’s Ghajini & Hirani & Chopra’s Munabhai series; it would really be useless task as the movie 3 IDIOTS is based on Chetan Bhagat’s popular novel ‘Five Point Someone’.
Movie’s storyline:
2 friends (Sharman Joshi & R. Madhavan) go on board in search of their missing buddy. They travel through perilous & dangerous landscapes of Manali, Shimla & Ladakh. So here comes in flash back their inner trip via memory pathway i.e. automatic flashback story & then their friend’s story comes into limelight – Rancho (Aamir) is an ir’repressible free spirit, who had touched/marked & changed their lives.
The story is about their hostel days that revolves around Rancho’s romance with lively Pia (Kareena) & also it swings to Rancho’s clashes with domineering mentor, Viru Sahastrabudhhe (Boman) & abruptly Rancho fade away…
Who was Rancho? From where did Rancho come from? Why he left?
Sharman & Madhavan’s friend who influenced & inspired them, so they started thinking artistically & independently, even as the conventional world would call them 3 Idiots. So where went the original idiot now?
Screenplay writers Hirani & Abhijat Joshi & their screenplay associate Vidhu Vinod Chopra narrated a narrative that’s comes instantly out of life. This story which we can relate to or we can identify with it.
We often read out new reports about suicidal attempts & suicides by students, which happen because they have so much pressure to live upto family’s expectations. This movie portrays it at the very beginning, when a student ends up the life by committing suicide. But this suicidal issue didn’t end there, as these 3 IDIOTS raise a relevant question: Is this a suicide or it’s a murder?
Rajkumar Hirani stabilizes rough & smooth happenings in their lives brilliantly & beautifully. There is a sequences scenes in the campus, straight from the ragging scenes at the beginning, when Omi’s (newcomer actor) speech contains word ‘chamatkaar’, it is changed into word ‘balatkaar’ (this scene surely entertain the viewer amazingly), the sequence then shifted to 3 idiots embarrassing situation at Kareena’s sis (Mona Singh) reception, to Sharman’s home’s dinner scene, to Kareena & Aamir who drives Sharman’s intensely ill father to the hospital, they took him on their bike (visualize this & you can’t stop laughing). Just when viewers think that the story would crack, then a new story commences.
Every individual behind the camera gives their best input to their movie. Hirani & Joshi’s screen-play is the stronghold of the movie. Lage Raho Munabhai has got phrase called ‘Gandhigiri’, now new phrase comes this time- ‘All Izz Well’.
Muraleedharan C.K.’s cinematography is awe-inspiring. Don’t forget to note the airborne sight at the very beginning, when Madhavan & Sharman commence their voyage to Shimla or also Ladakh’s image perfect look.
Shantanu Moitra’s tracks might sound simple & plain, but they appear to be perfect when they are viewed on screen. ‘Give Me Some Sunshine’, ‘All Is Well’ & ‘Zoobie Doobie’ are 3 tracks that you can’t stop singing when you will watch the movie. The songs: ‘All Izz Well’ is choreographed by Avit Dias & ‘Zoobie Doobie’ by Bosco-Caesar, they both are dazzling.
Aamir playing Rancho’s role has done extra-ordinary job. Madhavan is unbelievable. Sharman is marvelous through-out the movie. Boman is marvelous as the nasty head of the institute. The scenes among Aamir & Boman are amazing & it’s a delight to watch these 2 influential actors quarrel on the big screen, that all without getting melodramatic. Boman’s look, gesture & dialogue delivery are excellent.
Kareena’s role isn’t much lengthy like that of Aamir, Madhavan & Sharman, however she records a powerful impact. Omi is brilliant & the viewers will surely love his sharp tongue & gestures in the film. Mona Singh isn’t given much scope. Jaaved Jaffery is proficient. Pareekshit Sahani is well-mannered.
Overall, 3 IDIOTS easily positions between Aamir, Hirani & Chopra’s best movies. Do some favour, take your family to watch 3 IDIOTS. It’s touching, it’s amusing & it’s instructive. The movie has marvelous youthful appeal. Hirani is full of intelligence & that has confirmed twice in the past. He will show it for the 3rd time with 3 IDIOTS.

Too much expectations…..think killed the movie….aamir opted to be too commercial this time…..he has lost it this time…..the “substance”–the touch of a gifted guy is totally lost here…..and the movie is a total injustice to the book “five point smeone”…!!!!

It is a flop movie. Simply over hyped average product with no real substance. Munna Bhai’s were a thousand times more creative and better products

loved the movie,loved the non-preachy substance and loved the speech…..librarian dubey aka akhil mishra is hardly recognizable and i read in an interview he was reluctant to do a cameo but agreed after reading the scene!!i cn understand now why….
I just saw it today, and sorry guys but the movie is just okay. I felt the actors were great, acting was 5/5. Unfortunately the story idea, was 3/5, is not something wow..its alright( me being an eng student
). I hate when they put too much emotional crap in hindi films, and some scenes were very unrealistic, like the ending when with Mona and how they always save their butt from getting expelled (too filmy for me). It was a bit wishy washy, the jokes were dragged too much and too many filmy situations just killed the movie for me atleast. I miss Circuit and Munna bhai 
. I am sure a lot fo people are angry with me now, but hey sorry I wish I loved it too. Overall an OK movie. Acting was superb
I hate when people over hype movies, please don’t do that. This movie was okay.
I am agree with Aamir Fan that movie is ok only. The ending is bad and is in many places with bad themes. Particularly it is not good to watch with enire family. I did not see it is outstanding compared with Amir Khan’s other great movies.

But after watching it one realizes that Munna Bhais were way better creations and products. It seems the over hype worked in a positive way for the movie because majority of the people who found movie average did say so because of peer pressure. They didn’t want to be the odd ones out….It is only now that slowly by slowly honest opinions are starting to come out…………

Man What is wrong with Hirani, is he gay or something? (I think we have third Gay in Bollywood Besides Shahrukh and karan) He always shows guys semi naked. We need to see semi naked girls tooo man and some ragging on the girls side too. So Mr. Hirani Keep this in your mind when you are making another film.

No other attractive girl is given the chance to be with guys or the audiance.
Just a small flirtation…eye candy for the guys to jerkoff …No way !!!
15. At the end…The girl – Pia kisses Phunsuk Wangdu …by force
16. Even that, technically mathematically says/proves that Phunsuk Wangdu had not kissed a girl for 14 years! Phew !!!

OH MY GOD…I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY FOR THIS SITE….THANK YOU!!!! I thought I was going crazy hating this movie from the bottom of my heart. Everyone loves this movie but me..hum?????????? Am I ok??? Is there something wrong with my brain???? Why am I the only person on this planet who hates the movie…thanks..after reading ur review i am soooooooooooooo happy that i am not crazy and i am not the only person hating this stupid movie..This movie is sooooooo overrated. I cannot beleive it. My questions is that why the professor did not learn his lesson from his own son’s death…lets say he did not know it was so called murder..but the fact that he never was shown the letter???????????????????? okay??? i think there is something wrong with the story..editing was sooooooooo bad..it was good enough to confuse an audience with an average IQ…everyone knew that the guy hung him self and that was a suicide..professor son did the same thing..killed him self ..proffesor knew that it was a suicide…he knew that his kid was forced to be someone what he did not want to be because of his dad..so why the professor did not understand and learn his lesson…i am sorry…but the comedy was soooooooooooooo stupid..i did not laugh at one scene…up down up down was not funny at all….taking there pants of was more like first grader joke which was not funny at all…the scenes over just stupid enough for people to wonder what hell is happening in the movie…what is with kareena’s dorky glasses??????????? why she looked sooooo damn ugly????? the delivery scene at the end was soooooo ridiculous…made no sense to me…what??? they were trying to show India where the babies come from???? All in all the move is overrated and does not deserve any special award or golden trophy or oscar cuz it was an below average film which was a copy from Chetan Bahgats novel..the director should be in jail for copying it from his novel…Amir should get worst actor award and kareena for most ugly looking girl in the movie not to mention dorky faced…and all is well was stupid stupid and just stupid…it should get ALL IS BAKWAAS AWARD…HEHAHAHAHAHAHEHEHAHAHAHAHAH
