Shah Rukh will wear 1920′s vintage watch & ring from Gauri in My Name Is Khan

Shah Rukh Khan has been considered as Bollywood’s Badshah & for his upcoming movie named ‘My Name Is Khan’, he has to decide over which ring he has to wear in the film. He didn’t opted for any expensive ring or watch, but for his character named Rizwan, he will be wearing his own ring, which his wife Gauri has given him on their wedding.

Sources revealed that SRK feels this ring to be lucky precious possession given by his wife Gauri, as from long time she had proved to be very adjusting & helpful in managing SRK’s professional life & children too. When SRK was asked by Karan Johar, director of the film, “My Name Is Khan”, that SRK can decide for his character named Rizwan on his own, so he preferred the ring by Gauri rather than any of the designer rings for the film. Even Shah Rukh’s character Rizwan, wears a watch in the film, which is a vintage watch from 1920s time, it has been taken out from the museum of the company, which SRk endorses. SRK is very loyal to the brands he endorses & he asked them for 1920s pc, they gave him for “My Name Is Khan” film’s shooting.

Anyone can wonder why would SRK thought to wear exactly this watch, yeah therez a story behind that, as Rizwan Khan receives this particular watch from his teacher, his teacher had got that old time watch from his father as a parting gift. Rizwan has been given this watch as a symbol of affection & love. Just to give that realistic sense, SRK needed the watch which would belong to old era, so he got an idea to ask for that vintage watch.

Kajol, character name Mandira, is cast opposite SRK. SRK’s character Rizwan suffers from Asperger’s disease, due to which he can’t connect easily with others. Due to this, Rizwan gets detained by American Police as security people considered his inability to be ‘suspicious behavior’, as they were on the wake of 9/11 New York mishap.

“My Name Is Khan” has been filmed in US & Kajol is playing the role of a single mother. She falls in for Rizwan’s innocent charms & she fights for his rights against the police, security agencies & society.

Fox Star will distribute “My Name Is Khan” all over the world. Fox Star has got “My Name Is Khan” rights for Rs. 100 crores. The movie will release on Feb. 12, 2010.
