The value of the Indian Rupee under went depreciation by an amount of 6 paise with the value undergoing an amount of 46.82 a dollar instead of the previous value at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market during an early trade session after the dollar’s gained above two other leading currencies.
The demand of month-end dollar released from the importers also pressurized the Indian currency. At one of the previous sessions the Indian currency closed at a value of 46.76/77 which stands38 paise lower. The Forex traders also commented that the demand of the importers and the dollars gain heavily pressed the domestic rupee to a depreciative value. Even the stock markets dull beginning weakened the persuasion.
At the opening trade the Sensex that is the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark index got up from 0.32 per cent or 59.53 points to a value of 18,137.14 points.
