PEEPLI [Live] Review: The most popular actor in Bollywood Aamir Khan makes it a point that while he engages in making interesting movies with all the fun, good storyline and excellent acting and other essential ingredients, he doesn’t miss out on his moral responsibilities towards the nation and its people.

If you don’t believe thus then have a look at his last couple of movies like TAARE ZAMEEN PAR where he discussed the mind of children who are suffering from a rare disease or 3 IDIOTS where he attacked the education system of the country.

Latest in to follow in this tradition is Anusha Rizvi directed PEEPLI [LIVE] which tales up the sensitive issue of farmer suicide so much prevalent in India which is shamelessly used by political parties as voting agenda to gather more sympathy and more votes from the downtrodden.

This sensitive issue is also exploited by the TRP hungry news channels who feel it’s their birthright to showcase the misery and agony of the farmers and their suffering family members.

Peepli live is the story of a poor farmer Natha [Omkar Das Manikpuri] who decides to end his life so that after his death his family members can benefit from the government grant. But the situation turns worst when everybody right from the politicians to the journalist and the bureaucrats become part and parcel of this show where no one is concerned about how Natha feels. Everyone wants their own share. The movie is a mocking satire on this sensitive issue so popular in rural India.

PEEPLI [Live] Review Ratting: 4/5
