Heavy rains following Leh cloud burst have made the relief and rescue work even more hindered in response to the calamity that wreaked mass havoc and disaster over the entire region. 400 people are injured and over 112 people have been found dead with the death toll only predicted to rise further. In Siachen amongst 500 soldiers 20 are still missing. All routes and communication systems are blocked.

It is expected that a crew of 34.9 million will take a trip at least 50 miles from home, out of July Fourth 90%  will travel by car. Accoding to Troy Green, AAA’s national spokesman it’s an encouraging sign for the travel industry. Americans have improved their personal financial situation as compared to last year. Inspite of lingering budget squeezes some pickups have cancelled their fireworks displays.

Dolph Briscoe, 87 years old previous Texas Governor’s relatives say the 2-term conservative Democrat has passed away at his Uvalde, Texas house.

Family spokesperson Ann Arnold tells he died Sunday after a long time illness. Arnold says Briscoe had been admitted to hospital in Jan this year and had came back home recently.

Mt. Cleveland volcano in Alaska resulted in a small ash cloud on the night of Monday, as per the Tuesday announcement of Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO). The cloud was seen in a satellite form and was traced turning up towards southwest at 7:56pm (GMT-3). When the cloud was discovered, it was detached from the volcano which implied that the release of ash-cloud took place before some hours.
