World’s 2,000 most powerful companies are listed by US magazine Forbes, Reliance Industries and State Bank of India and other 56 Indian companies are listed.

US banking giant JPMorgan Chase, General Electric, Bank of America and Exxon Mobil
are in topper rank.

Gulf Filmmakers to Receive Funds Worth $500,000

Filmmakers in the Gulf will receive grants totalling $500,000 to encourage them to make innovative and artistic movies, it was announced Wednesday.

The fund, titled Sanad, will support outstanding productions from the region in two categories – development and post-production – for feature-length narratives and documentaries.

Australian court awarded $15,000 to woman who was sexually harassed

Melbourne, April 12 (IANS) An Australian court has awarded $15,000 to a woman who was sexually harassed while working as a teenager at a food chain.

Jasmine Sharma, who began working at the Punchbowl KFC restaurant in 2005 at the age of 15, made 10 complaints alleging sexual harassment by an assistant manager.

Today there was the test match of India V/s Srilanka in Ahemdabad. India made the score of 385 runs in 90 over for 6 on first day. Rahul and Dhoni made their century with 177 (not out) and 110 respectively. Yuvraj Singh made 68 runs, Chanaka Welegedara made 75 runs and took 3 wickets and Dhammika Prasad took 2 wickets after making 90 runs. [smartads]
