Strike in Kishtwar due to Electricity Failure; Know the Restoration Period

JAMMU (DLN), 24th May 2010: With no electric supply in Kishtwar due to a technical fault for the 7 continuous days, persons today felt a Bandh in the mountainous region. Market locations in Kishtwar town, Thakraie, Chatroo, Padder, Palmar & Keshwan in the region were shut down and vehicular traffic was too off the road in favor of the call provided by the Citizens Forum, officials said.

Chhattisgarh Maoist Massacre: One-day Strike by Congress in Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR: In opposition of the massacre of 75 soldiers by Maoists, Congress called a whole day strike in Chhattisgarh on Thursday on 8th April. According to some initial reports, schools were shut down and the public transport also was hit in the city regions in the whole state while there was no effect in the rural areas.

Bandh in Jammu for Protesting Against Beheading of Sikhs in Pak

Today a bandh was called by Sikhs to protest against the beheading of 2 associates of the community by Taliban in Pak. They blocked transportation and burnt tyres.
