Earthquake Strikes Japan – 6.6 Magnitudes

A strong earthquake hit off the eastern coast of central Japan on Sunday, rattling buildings across a broad swath of the country, including the crowded Tokyo capital.

A very powerful quake of 6.6 magnitudes has hit central areas of Japan today, March 14, 2010 morning. The affected areas include capital Tokyo. No damages or injuries have been reported till now and also there is no alert about tsunami by weather department.

Earthquake in Turkey, 38 Died

Ankara, Turkey, March 8, 2010: A destructive earthquake comes at the scale of 6 magnitudes, strikes eastern part of Turkey on Monday. It affects three small villages and kills minimum 38 people according to the official sources. Okcular, Yukari Kanatli and Kayali are the villages from where killed persons belong come according to Mayor Bekir Yanilmaz of the nearby town of Kovancilar. He says the Turkey earthquake destroys the homes made of stone, mud and bricks and also the minarets of the mosques.
